By Edwin Hopper © 2010.
I wanted to collect everything written about Britain and its neighbours before 650 AD, then reassemble it all in date order. It would be an easy to word search reference source for students of early British history. And it would be from original sources, untainted by later writers.
Of course I failed. There are no original sources. Everything has been copied, recopied and glossed over through the ages. So I have made a heap of texts as best I can.
I invite you to make the best of it.
I have provided each section in PDF for the periods I have rather arbitrarily selected, I aim to publish in other formats soon.
